BROS est une comédie romantique à propos de deux hommes gays, Bobby [Billy Eichner] et Aaron [Luke Macfarlane] dans la quarantaine qui doivent décider si oui ou non de former un couple.
BROS est le première comédie romantique d’homosexuels à sortir au cinéma. Le mélange comédie et romance fonctionne assez bien. On rit des blagues et on est assez divertis des deux heures que durent le film. Debra Messing joue elle-même dans un caméo. Luke MacFarlane est un eye candy avec son corps musclé que l’on comprend pourquoi il est l’interêt amoureux.
Le principal problème du film est Bobby qui est très peu sympathique et irritable. C’est très difficile de voir pourquoi Aaron est attiré par lui. Au moins, comme il s’agit d’une comédie romantique, le personnage va changer et sera moins désagréable. Bobby n’est pas une mauvaise personne et a une vision du progrès. Il désire ouvrir le premier musée dédié aux LGBTQ+. Il est également un podcasteur et a écrit des livres pour enfants portant sur l’histoire des homosexuels. Billy Eichner joue une version de lui-même pour ce rôle.
